Migrant women
Migrant women face unnecessary isolation and barriers to work that prevent them playing a full part in society, a study for women’s campaign group, the Fawcett Society, found.
Barriers to integration come from various areas including taking work below their qualifications.
A majority of the women interviewed were graduates or even post-graduates in their home country, but their qualifications are rarely recognised in the UK.
