Statutory 
payments frozen


The government has proposed that statutory maternity, paternity, sick pay, shared parental pay and sick pay remain at the same level this year. 


The rates usually increase in April in conjunction with the Consumer Prices Index (CPI). However, last year the CPI fell by 0.1% so these payments have been frozen.
