Spanish unions march for higher pay
Spain’s two main union confederations, CCOO and UGT, are increasing the pressure on the country’s employers’ associations to reach a new framework agreement on pay, which will allow for significant pay increases.
They organised marches across Spain on 22 May, with protests outside the employers’ headquarters.
Unai Sordo, general secretary of the CCOO said: “If there is no agreement, the disagreement will not be ‘peaceful, there will be a permanent mobilisation”.
