GMB election

Tim Roache, the Yorkshire and North Derbyshire regional secretary for the GMB general union, has become the first person to announce he is seeking nomination as the union’s general secretary in this year’s election.

Nominations are due in later this month, with voting to take place between 14 October and 4 November.

The result will be announced on 6 November.
