Government should measure good work
A joint report by the charity Carnegie UK Trust and the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA), Measuring good work, calls on the government to measure workers’ mental health and job security. It calls for the adoption of a new set of national job-quality metrics, covering 18 aspects of job quality including health, safety and psychological wellbeing, and says the government should look to use the existing Labour Force Survey to gather the information.
