Facebook page to engage with CWU members
The CWU communications union’s annual Action Month of organising and recruitment this year included the launching of a Call Centre Workers Facebook page. The idea is to engage workers across the call-centre industry with the union and highlight the CWU role in the sector.
The union says the page will be a source of information and a forum for sharing experiences, with the aim of helping workers to build the union in their own workplaces.
Other activities taking place during the Action Month included intensive leafleting of workers at the Sky contact centre in Osterley and the setting up of recruitment stalls at BT call centres.
