Trade unionists given New Year honours

Mary Turner, president of the GMB general union, has been awarded an MBE in the New Year’s honours list.

Just three trade unionists were given an honour. The other two, both MBEs, were: Michael Fuller for services to the NHS and to the Unite general union in Scotland; and Susan Rogers of Sheffield, South Yorkshire for services to trade unions.
