Survey of safety reps looks for successes

The TUC is carrying out its ninth survey of safety reps. It is designed to provide the TUC and individual unions with information about who safety reps are, and what their experiences and needs are.

Information collected from the survey is vital for the TUC and unions, meaning they can do more to help safety reps, and so that safety reps’ views and experiences are better reflected in public policy debates and the work of the Health and Safety Executive.

A response is crucial to ensuring that this survey provides the information the TUC seeks.  The survey can be completed by following the link at the end of the news story.

The TUC wants respondents to answer as many questions as possible — but to ignore them if they seem irrelevant to their experiences.

The TUC particularly wants to know about any successes safety reps have had in improving health and safety standards.
