Delay in statutory rates

Annual increases for 2014 to some statutory rates, such as redundancy pay and the basic award of compensation for unfair dismissal, will not be implemented on 1 February as usual. The coalition government has moved the implementation date to 6 April to be in line with other statutory rate increases, such as those for maternity pay, paternity pay, adoption pay and sick pay.

The new rates for 2014 have yet to be announced.
