Cyber attack

The website of the PCS civil service union was disrupted for a time last month after being hit by a cyber attack.

The attack coincided with the start of the union’s conference — at which delegates voted to ballot the membership on strike action — and saw traffic 1,000 times the normal level.

General secretary Mark Serwotka said it was “a clear attempt to undermine our union” at a critical time.
