Inquiry into ethnic women jobless

The All Party Parliamentary Group on Race and Community has opened an inquiry into ethnic minority female unemployment.

The inquiry will investigate why 21% of Pakistani/Bangladeshi women and 18% of black women are unemployed compared to only 7% of white women. It aims to put forward proposals to limit the current levels of inequality.

Submissions are invited from relevant organisations as well as from ethnic minority women who are experiencing unemployment. The closing date for submissions is 3 September.
