Ineos

As Labour Research went to press, Ineos had yet to confirm whether it would reverse its decision to close the petrochemical plant at its Grangemouth complex.

Members of the Unite union, who were locked out last month, initially rejected cuts in their wages, jobs and pensions. The company shut down the complex, threatening at least 800 jobs.

Unite general secretary Len McCluskey subsequently said the union had decided to embrace the company’s plan.
