RPI inflation unchanged

In September, the annual rate of inflation under the Retail Prices Index (RPI) was unchanged at 3.9%. It was last as high in January 2012.


Inflation under the government's preferred Consumer Prices Index Housing (CPIH) measure rose, up to 2.8% from 2.7%.


The September rate of the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) is used to uprate the state pension if above 2.5% and earnings don’t rise faster, and this stood at 3.0%.
