Law timetable

The government is to announce its timetable for the implementation of employment legislation in 2004.

In line with a provision in the Employment Act 2002, employment laws will only come into force on two dates of the year, either 6 April or 1 October. Most of this year's employment legislation will come into force on the October date, including the new laws on dispute resolution and amendments to disability discrimination laws.
