Transport workers suffer fatigue

Airline pilots and merchant seafarers are suffering from fatigue, according to new research. Researchers at Leicester University found that more than half the pilots working for budget airlines said they were "stressed and tired" due to the demands of their job.

And research at Cardiff University for shipping union NUMAST found that more than 50% of offshore support workers and 46% of seafarers worked over 85 hours a week.
