UNISON to elect leader

Britain's largest union has set out the timetable for a leadership election to take place in January-February 2005.

Dave Prentis, the current leader of public service union UNISON, will come to the end of his five-year tenure in January 2006. However, aged just 54, Prentis is likely to be standing for re-election.

Nominations close on 10 December.
