LRD at union conferences

With limited staff resources, LRD can only occasionally attend major union conferences. However, over the last couple of months several members of the LRD research staff have travelled to Blackpool, Brighton and Glasgow to run stands at union conferences.

They were at the Amicus, UNISON and most recently the T&G conferences - the three largest unions in the TUC.

Our stalls at these were all highly successful in raising our profile with activists in those unions. The main aim at both the Amicus and T&G conferences was to highlight the Payline internet pay and conditions service which has recently been made available to all activists in these unions. UNISON members have been able to access this facility for some time.

One conference LRD does attend regularly is the TUC, which this year will be in Brighton.

Our stand there will be number 99, on the first floor outside the main Congress Hall.

We will be distributing some free LRD publications as well as selling our most recent booklets. We will also be demonstrating both Payline and our full-text service LRD Publications Online.

Congress runs from Monday 12 to Thursday 15 September.
