Stonewall and TUC update guidance

The Welsh branch of lesbian, gay and bisexual charity Stonewall has updated its employee guide to sexual orientation in the workplace.

Compiled in partnership with the Wales TUC, Discrimination at work - it's so over provides basic information and advice on anti-discrimination legislation, workers' rights and dealing with cases of discrimination.

Available in English and Welsh, the guide will be distributed through unions to libraries, Citizens Advice Bureaux and community venues.

"One in five lesbian, gay and bisexual people have been harassed because of their sexual orientation," said Wales TUC general secretary Felicity Williams. "We hope this guide will help to reduce these shocking numbers."

The guide, together with advice for employers, is available at www.stonewall.org.uk/workplace/1355.asp
