Bus drivers need toilets

London bus workers protested at transport and local government offices last month over the lack of toilet facilities on bus routes.

The issue has recently been highlighted by the arrest of bus drivers who were so desperate for a toilet break that they had to relieve themselves in public places. The lack of toilets also leads to health problems including bladder, kidney and prostate conditions.

Unite (T&G section) says it will hold a full strike ballot unless the capital’s local authorities and Transport for London take action.
