GMB and NCP see benefits of co-operation

A dispute over Christmas bonuses has led the GMB general union to sign a voluntary recognition deal with NCP Services on behalf of traffic wardens in Worthing.

GMB organiser Rob Macey said the dispute, which ended in victory for the union, had shown “both the company and GMB’s members ... what a constructive relationship can bring”.

The union hopes to extend the relationship to other locations in the South East, such as Lewes and Eastbourne.
