Stop transport violence

ASLEF train drivers’ union and the transport section of the Unite union in Scotland have launched a campaign against violence towards transport workers.

Kevin Lindsay, ASLEF officer in Scotland said: “We need to put pressure on the Scottish executive to introduce meaningful laws that will ensure transport workers are not attacked or assaulted.”

He added: “No worker should have to tolerate spitting, or verbal or physical abuse. Transport workers deserve protection in the same way as those who work in the emergency services.”
