Union outrage as toilet breaks denied

General union Unite has condemned management at the Dunbia meat processing plant in Lancashire for forcing workers to take unpaid toilet breaks during work time.

Company policy requires workers to clock off to go to the toilet and then clock on again after they’ve finished – effectively suffering a pay cut for using the toilet. The union has filed a collective grievance, signed by over 100 union members at the site, but the company is still refusing to sit down and listen.
