Packages & Express (Parcelforce)

In a backdated settlement which was accepted in a ballot in late 2000 (and which will be matched by a similar settlement covering around 450 staff separated out into Logistics and Contract Distribution) pay was increased by 2.9% from 1 September 2000.

This increase flowed through to all elements of pay other than pay supplements, bonus payments and assigned allowances. Inner London Weighting was increased to £2,535 pa and Outer London to £1,388 pa. Shift allowances for hub engineers increased to £3,090 pa and for non-hub engineers to £18.35 per shift. Shift allowances for double days are now £7.58 per shift for finishes up to 20.00 hours and £8.74 per shift for up to 22.00 hours.
