Major study of mental health at work gets underway

A major new study looking at anxiety and depression among UK employees has just been started. It will look at the impact of mental health problems, and the treatment for these conditions, on performance in the workplace. The results will be used to draw up guidelines for workers, employers and doctors.

Funded by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), the study is being conducted by the Department of Human Science at Loughborough University.
