Whistleblowing protection

The Employment Appeal Tribunal has held that the effect of the Public Interest Disclosure Act (which protects employees who 'blow the whistle') is to extend the protection to employees dismissed after the Act came into force. This is even if the whistleblowing took place before the Act.
