Legal & General and Unite mark 15 positive years

In an unusual move, insurance giant Legal & General and finance union Unite are marking “15 years of positive industrial relations” this month, with the company donating £10 to charity for every new member recruited to the union during July.

Sue Jordan for the company said: “Working hand-in-hand with Unite is now part of our DNA, just the way we do things round here.”

Unite said the partnership relationship between the two organisations has reaped massive rewards for both workforce and company. National officer David Fleming said: “There is no doubt that Legal & General’s acknowledgment of the value of its workforce brings positive results for the entire business.”
