IG Metall pay claim

Germany’s largest union —IG Metall — has agreed its claim for 3.7 million employees in the metalworking and electrical industry. It will ask for a 5.6% pay increase over 12 months, an increase, which Berthold Huber, the union’s president called “economically appropriate and fair for the employees”. The current agreement runs out on 30 April.
