Wide-ranging package agreed at logistics firm

Crewe-based transport company Expert Logistics has reached a new agreement running from 1 October 2013 which provides a 2% rise on basic pay.

From 2014, an attendance bonus of £200 is to be paid in December to anyone with zero absence in the year

The agreement also increases holiday entitlement from 20 to 25 days (plus eight Bank Holidays) effective from 2014. There is an increase in maternity pay to six weeks’ full pay, followed by half pay for 12 weeks, while paternity pay is increased to two weeks’ full pay.

A flexible benefits package — details of which have yet to be finalised — is to be introduced. This will enable employees to select from a range of benefits, such as a discounted health care plan, dental plans and retail discounts.
