Union subs

This month’s annual conference of the TSSA transport staff union will be asked to approve a banded system for membership subscriptions, where contributions are related to members’ salaries.The executive committee is proposing that the weekly subs should be £2.30 for those earning up to £20,000, £4.60 for those on £20,001-£50,000 and £5.60 for those on over £50,000.

Last year’s conference agreed the measure in principle in order to address the union’s financial difficulties as well as a recruitment and retention tool.
