New Living Wage rates

Increases in the hourly rates for the voluntary Living Wage were announced in early November.

The Living Wage outside of London, as promoted by the Living Wage Foundation campaign, increased by 5.1% or 40p an hour to £8.25 an hour from 2 November.

For those living in London, the rise is slightly less — 2.7% or 25p to £9.40 an hour.

Both rates are well above the £7.60 an hour rate for the statutory National Living Wage for workers aged 25 and above that is due to be introduced from next April.
