Homeworking during coronavirus crisis

Millions of people are currently expected to work from home where possible during the COVID-19 crisis under government guidance.

It is expected to be “very difficult” in transportation and storage, accommodation and food services, but easier in information, communication, science and technology jobs.

Scientific and technical union Prospect recommends: stay in touch with colleagues and managers; get your IT set up; keep an eye on your hours; don’t work if you are ill; keep family responsibilities separate; choose a good room; keep your diary up to date; talk to other people at home; maintain professional standards; and stay in touch with your union.
