Adult education devolution

More local areas are to get the chance to control their adult education budget, according to the government’s Levelling up the United Kingdom white paper.

Combined authorities with elected mayors already have this power, but it will be extended to further areas “allowing places to better shape the adult education provision available to residents to ensure it meets the needs of the local economy”.
