Part-time employees' rights

The government has published its draft proposals for new rights for part-time employees. These establish a right to "no less favourable treatment" than full timers and a right to pro-rata terms and conditions, without the need to show sex discrimination. The regulations are effective from 7 April and are explained in full in a forthcoming LRD booklet, available in mid March.
