2.88% in Corrugated Packaging Industry

Following the rejection of an earlier staged pay offer, the GPMU and GMB unions have negotiated increases of around 2.88% in day work rates (effective from 3 September 2001) and a restoration of the lieu bonus payment which will now be calculated as it was in previous agreements.

The minimum earnings level went up to £203.55 per week. Bonus levels will be applied as in past years, at average performance level or where no bonus schemes exist, as a payment in lieu form (this is to be reviewed over the twelve months following the agreement). Weekly bonus rates range from £16.97 on the lowest adult grade to £21.09 for the highest. The employers agreed to include guidance on the legal requirements for parental leave in the national agreement.
