Work at height consultation

The HSC has opened a consultation on draft Work at Height Regulations and guidance. Falls from height are the most common cause of fatal injury to employees and the second most common cause of major injury to employees. In 2002-03, 49 people were killed in a fall from height accident and thousands more sustained major injuries. Most of these falls were preventable.

The proposals can be downloaded from www.hse.gov.uk/consult/live.htm or obtained from HSE Books. Comments by 2 April 2004
