Lump sum plus 5% pay rise at Scottish Water

Employees at Scottish Water have agreed a new package developed with the GMB, TGWU, UNISON and Amicus unions.

The company, formed in April 2002 when Scotland's three former water authorities merged, now has standard terms and conditions for all staff.

The package includes a 5% salary increase for all employees (with the possibility of a further salary progression), plus a £1,000 lump sum paid in two stages.

Employees now work a 37-hour week with flexible working and receive 37 days' annual leave, including six fixed public holidays.
