Top manual workers at Walkers get 4%

In a deal backdated to February, the 200 manual workers at Walkers Snack Foods in Swansea have received a 4% pay rise on Grade 1 (the highest grade), with lower grades receiving a £425 lump sum but no increase to the base rate.

This takes Grade 1 to £266.23 per week, while Grade 2 remains at £242.53 and Grade 4 at £221.99.

The shift allowances move to 13.5% for double days and 22.6% for permanent nights on Grade 1. For Grades 2 and 4, they are now 13.35% for double days and 22.6% for nights.
