Workers are unprepared for emergencies

A new survey has revealed that many office workers are unprepared for workplace emergencies and don’t know basic health and safety procedures.

Research by the Lloyds TSB bank revealed that only 48% of those surveyed were aware of their company’s emergency procedures, and 29% would not know what to do if someone had an accident on the premises. Over one-third (35%) could not pinpoint the location of fire extinguishers, and 12% did not know where the fire exits were in their building.
