Italian deal at Manpower

The commercial services unions of Italy's three main union confederations have signed an agreement with the agency work company Manpower, providing new rights for union reps.

Signed on 10 May, the deal provides for three reps - one from each of the confederations CGIL, CISL and UIL - to be chosen in each of Manpower's main Italian areas of operation. This is a great improvement on the current position - commercial services union FILCAMS, for example, says that until now it has had only six union reps in Manpower across the whole of the country.

The agreement also gives the unions a dedicated section in the company's intranet, enabling greater communication between members.
