Securicor staff settle for 3.6%

Members of the CWU communication workers' union at Securicor Cash Centres have voted overwhelmingly to accept a pay deal which the union says will be worth between 9% and 11% in total for most staff.

As well as increasing pay scales and linked allowances (such as overtime) by 3.6%, the deal consolidates workers' existing hourly bonus into their basic pay.

Prior to the settlement, the CWU had been trying to get a new bonus scheme introduced. Following the company's offer to improve the basic pay increase to above the rate of inflation, this claim has now been dropped.
