Youth and unions
This month’s TUC Congress will consider a motion that calls on the TUC to develop a programme of political education for young workers and students, as well as also a positive media campaign about the value of union membership and participation.
The motion addresses concern expressed at the TUC Young Members’ Conference that many young people are unaware of the heritage unions have delivered to each generation.
