Unite defeats Tata Consultancy Services derecognition
The Unite general union has fought off a derecognition attempt at Tata Consultancy Services through the Central Arbitration Committee (CAC). The firm had attempted the derecognition following the TUPE transfer of 157 staff from Prudential.
However, after a concerted union campaign, Unite was able to prove to the CAC that the majority of the bargaining unit opposed the move.
