One Housing Group

Staff at London-based One Housing Group (OHG), members of general union Unite, have been taking strike action over wage cuts for support workers.

They struck for three days in June and were set for a further three days of action on 24 to 26 July as Labour Research went to press.

The management is seeking to impose wage cuts of thousands of pounds on over 200 frontline staff working in supported housing.

Unite national officer for the not-for-profit sector Sally Kosky said: “Except for senior management OHG has made no pay awards for the last four years.

“Now it has removed the non-consolidated bonus paid to all staff for the past two years.”

Kosky added that at the same time OHG continues to expand, “its surpluses are increasing and pay at the top continues to climb exponentially”.
