Dyslexia survey

The TUC’s education arm, unionlearn has been aware for some time of the impact of dyslexia in the workplace and the potential needs of members and officials within the TUC.

Nationally, unionlearn has included dyslexia awareness within its disability champions’ provision as well as by providing guides for union learning reps (ULRs) and union representatives. Some unions have already begun to develop training and support for their members

Now unionlearn is running a survey that can be filled in online until 7 October. It offers unions and individuals the opportunity to contribute their knowledge and experience to this review and inform thinking about how to take this agenda forward build on the knowledge, materials and resources that are already available.

Contributions about dyslexia needs and potential ways forward, both in the workplace and in peoples’ lives in general, will be critical in enabling proper consideration to be given to key issues like awareness raising, training for ULRs, signposting and support for individuals and organisations.
