Collective bargaining produces longer holidays
Research for the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) has found that, on average, workers in Europe who are covered by collective bargaining get three days more annual holiday a year, (excluding public holidays) than those who are not covered. In Germany and Croatia workers covered by collective bargaining get 10 days more than those not covered. There are five days’ difference in the Czech Republic, Finland, France, Italy and the UK.
