Mergers
Members of the mining professionals’ union, BACM-TEAM, have voted overwhelmingly in favour of merging with the 115,000-strong managers’ and specialists’ union Prospect.
Following the 96% vote in favour, the 1,800-member BACM-TEAM will become a branch of Prospect’s energy sector.
Meanwhile the Yorkshire Building Society union YISA has agreed to merger with Aegis, the union for staff at the Aegon UK pensions and life assurance company.
