Amicus backs bands "battle"
The Amicus manufacturing and professional union is targeting potential young members by staging a major contest for the best new band.
The “battle of the bands” will commence with regional heats in six cities and end with a final in London.
Jody Mills, who is co-ordinating the competition, said the aim was to show young people links between music and politics as “young people are the most vulnerable people at work and are the least likely to join a union.”
