NHS advertising

Plans to allow NHS hospitals to advertise have been given the thumbs down in a poll for the NHS Together campaign.

The Department of Health is expected to publish a code of practice on the issue, but nearly three in four voters reject the idea of hospitals competing for custom by spending on advertising.

NHS Together is an alliance of all the unions and staff associations that represent NHS workers. www.nhstogether.org.uk
