Agency regulations

Draft regulations on employment agencies were published last month, placing restrictions on organisations that only provide free work-seeking services if the individual also uses other services for which they can lawfully charge. The regulations also outlaw any contract terms which would prevent a worker from terminating the contract or from taking up other employment.

They also strengthen the current law barring agencies from knowingly supplying labour to perform duties normally performed by a worker who is taking part in industrial action.
