Arbitration scheme criticised

The Industrial Society has expressed concern about the government's proposals for alternative dispute resolution (ADR), a form of binding arbitration that would be an alternative to taking a claim to a tribunal.

Courts or compromise? Routes to resolving disputes argues that ADR could well become as rigid, formal and almost as expensive as current tribunal and court processes.
